First In Systems
ELDT Curriculum Compliance Crosswalk & School Enablement

This document maps the First In Systems ELDT curriculum, topic-by-topic, to the federal training standards in 49 CFR Part 380, Appendices A, B & E. Every federally required topic is accounted for, so your school can self-certify on the FMCSA Training Provider Registry with confidence and stand behind it in an audit.

Plain-language compliance note: FMCSA does not "approve," "certify," or endorse any course or provider — ELDT is a self-certification system. First In Systems builds curriculum that meets the FMCSA ELDT requirements of 49 CFR Part 380. Your school remains the registered training provider of record. This crosswalk is the evidence that supports your self-certification.

Behind-the-wheel (range & public road)

Required for Class A / B / P / S — theory-only endorsements (H) have none.

First In Systems provides the range maneuver and public-road lesson plans, skills checklists, and instructor guides mapped to the Appendix A & B behind-the-wheel requirements. Per FMCSA rules, behind-the-wheel training must be delivered in person by your qualified instructors using your equipment, and proficiency is determined by the instructor — there is no federal minimum hour count. We equip your instructors; your school delivers and signs off.

Self-certification support

When your school registers on the Training Provider Registry, you attest that your curriculum meets the Part 380 standard. This crosswalk is the documentation behind that attestation — retain it with your training records. As the registered provider, keeping your curriculum and this crosswalk current with FMCSA and state updates is part of your ongoing self-certification; First In Systems can rebuild or re-map on request.
